Your scenario
Region standings
Reflects your picks. "Possible" covers every outcome of the games you haven't picked.
Projected, not official. Records from the TSSAA standings (October 25, 2026 (TSSAA standings, 3:57 AM CT)). Bracket format from the official bracket. Ties follow the TSSAA Football Regulations: head-to-head, then most total wins. Deeper tiebreakers (opponents' records) aren't calculated; those ties are flagged and shown in TSSAA's current order. Total wins don't include non-region games still to be played.
How it works
- Records come from TSSAA’s published region standings. Bracket slots and home teams come from TSSAA’s official Division II-AA bracket.
- Seeds follow the TSSAA Football Regulations: region record, then head-to-head, then most total wins.
- The “Possible” column checks every combination of the games you haven’t picked (up to 512 of them) and shows each team’s best and worst finish.
- When a tie goes deeper than total wins, the tool flags it instead of guessing.
It’s a projection, not an official result. If you spot something off, let me know.
How I built it
The information was already public. It was just spread across three TSSAA pages and pieced together by hand. Here’s what I actually did:
- Gave Claude the three sources: the region standings, the official bracket, and the TSSAA football regulations.
- Told it what I wanted: seed each region using the official tiebreakers, drop the seeds into the bracket, and let me pick the remaining games to see what changes.
- Checked its work. I compared its seeds to TSSAA’s own standings and its bracket to the official PDF. That caught one mistake (which team hosts when two #3 seeds meet), and Claude fixed it.
- Kept updates simple. Refreshing it means updating one small data file with the latest standings, about five minutes.
The building took minutes. The part that mattered was knowing what to ask for and checking the answer.
