About

I’m Kevin Burke. I live in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
My background is operations. I’ve spent my career leading teams, fixing processes, and doing work more efficiently and with higher quality. That’s still my day job.
How it started
My wife and I opened Monkee’s of Chattanooga, a women’s boutique, in 2025. Little did we know how much back-office work came with it: typing vendor purchase orders into our point-of-sale system line by line, getting new arrivals photographed, described, and published to our Shopify store, and reconciling daily sales into QuickBooks by hand.
The real money in a boutique is made buying the right inventory and working the sales floor. So I started building AI tools to take the admin off my wife’s plate and free her up to focus on the business. Plenty of experiments flopped. The ones that worked now give us back hours every month, and they convinced me AI isn’t just for tech companies. It’s for regular businesses with too much to do.
Those tools grew into BoutiqueOS, software that helps other independent boutiques do the same, and into Release Point Ventures, where I help other small businesses.
What you’ll find here
I write about how I’m actually using AI, day to day:
- In our business. The tools, prompts, and automations running at our boutique and inside BoutiqueOS, including what broke and what it cost.
- In my personal life. Calendars, family logistics, volunteer work, and the small stuff that adds up.
- Doing more with less. How one person with a day job, a family, and a couple of businesses gets it all done without hiring a team.
No hype and no jargon. If I recommend something, it’s because I use it. Read the blog → I also share shorter takes on LinkedIn.
